How to Actually Read Your Mock Test Percentile Report

Most students glance at their overall percentile after a mock, feel a reaction, and move on. That throws away the most useful part of the report: the section-wise and topic-wise breakdown.

Three numbers to check before your overall percentile:

1. Accuracy vs attempts, per section. Low accuracy with high attempts means guessing is costing you negative marks — the fix is slowing down, not attempting more.
2. Time per correct answer, per section. If DILR is eating disproportionate time for the marks it returns, your set-selection strategy — not your DILR skill — is the problem.
3. Percentile trend across your last 5 mocks, not just this one. A single bad mock is noise. A flat trend across five is signal.
